Her daughter is turning 9 0n the 09.09.2009. Idea's by Mad Me!

Well this I must admit must be one of the most unusual birthdays of all and I would suggest that whatever you do you make it a day to remember for ever. I like to call them happy memories. Depending on your budget of course you could choose a number of options. First suggestion would be a 9 party where all the goodies and the cake are made in the shape of a nine. Inviting 9 friends. Having a table setting for 9 little girls. Or as I said depending on Finances how about a special week end away to celebrate with the hotel or where ever you would be staying making a surprise birthday cake in the shape of a nine. A week end away would mean not much planning on your part and no cleaning up. Depending on what interests your daughter you could also work around a theme of what she likes and or a colour scheme. Have you asked her what she might like to do seeing as this is a very special day being 9 on the 09/09/2009. If you had it in the evening or late afternoon depending on where you are staying some nice fireworks would really end off the evening with a special light. Never having had a daughter I to a large degree am depending on my own insight here. What about a princess party where you daughter is dress up as a princess for her birthday party. Being a very special day she needs a very special outfit. If she has out grown already all of this how about getting here all dressed up and taking her to a very nice restaurant for an evening meal. A nice dress ect and maybe even a little light make up to make it a really special evening. You can also arrange for a gift or flowers to be brought to the table for her. Maybe introduce here to the delight of dining by candle light. If none of this is any help you can always revert to the sleep over or pajama party. Their are movies that they would love to attend or perhaps some bowling or ice skating. Try and find something totally new that she has never had the opportunity to do before so that on this day it is a day that no matter where she might go in future life she will always remember this day. IT IS A VERY SPECIAL time not only for her but for you and your family as well.

If she is still in the tom boy stage how about a camp out. Fire and marshmellow are always welcome. However I hope that no matter what you choose for the day the most important thing of all is for you to let her know that she is loved and that not only is it a special day but she is also special.

And if all else fails and no one can actually help you cheat and get someone else to arrange it for you or go to the library and get out a book of ideas. Being a mom doesn't mean that you don't need a little help. What ever you do and wherever you do I hope that your daughter has the most wonderful day.

I have learned that this is going to happen to a young lady here in South Africa so thought I would add another item or two. How about a day at Gold Reef City if you are near Johannesburg or if you are in Cape Town a trip us table mountain and maybe a nice picnic or breakfast at the restaurant. Durban there is always Shaka Marine world. So no matter where you are there is something you can find that will make her day special. Just a picnic at the zoo if you have one!
