Is getting divorced always a bad thing by Mad Me

Well now we have an open topic - some would say yes and some no! I have been divorced x 2 not easy cried many a tear however when I look back one needs to see possible how much good can come out of soooo much bad! When I hear of someone getting divorced and ask them how its going and they say wow we are still friends and getting on well - well that does not last long. Once you start getting down to the nitty gritty of who gets what then we have issues! I have been stupid enough to get married in community of property x2 and if I ever do that again I might as well hang myself. Most women when they get divorced normally keep the children and hence have a home environment. Men tend to be more drifters. (kindly note not all men) I don't mean that in a bad way but their commitments are far less is they do not have custody of theiir children and only have them every other week end or some don't have them at all. A divorced mom is on duty 24/7 365 days a year. I must admit that it was never my intention to get divorced however we can sometime make bad choices in our lives and then we have a choice either to live with it which often is not in the best interest of those around us or we can get divorced and move on. Most people say ag shame when they hear you are getting divorced or you are already divorced I look at it this way - its an adventure. You get to start your life over and hopefully you are a little older and alot more wiser.

When chatting to different people you will be amazed at how many people stay married because of their children - they say they dont fight in front of the children but common kids are not stupid they know when things are not right - are you actually being fair on them. Yes I agree that growing up with only one parent is hard but kids adjust more quickly then we think - and at the end of the day in many cases they now get quality time with the other parent (or so we hope)

Years ago a child at school who only had one parent or their parents where divorced was look down upon, nowaday its kinda the norm! 

As for me being a single mom is not easy but hey at least I am a happy Mom.
